Yoshimoto Imagawa— The Great Lord of Suruga

Shizuoka City Museum of History
Finished
Yoshimoto Imagawa, renowned as "the greatest archer on the Kaido," expanded power from the base in Shizuoka, rising to prominence as one of Japan's leading feudal lords and establishing the Imagawa clan during its peak. Various policies and projects were influenced by the fortunes of the times, a solid foundation, and the support of excellent vassals. This exhibition introduces Yoshimoto Imagawa's accomplishments in Shizuoka by tracing the "heaven, earth, and people" gained in the region. It is a unique exhibition on Yoshimoto Imagawa that only a museum in Shizuoka could offer.
