Yokoyama Art Museum Collection - Old Noritake x World of Noritake

Yokoyama Art Museum
Finished
Old Noritake, produced by trader Morimura-gumi and ceramics manufacturer Nippon Toki (now Noritake Co., Ltd.) from the late 19th century to the prewar period and exported mainly to the United States and England, is highly regarded overseas as a pioneer of Western-style ceramics in Japan.

In addition to these, the exhibition also includes decorative plates painted by the legendary painter Keiji Shinoki, who was the first person allowed to write his name on Japanese ceramics and bone china figurines from the "Studio Collection" produced by a small number of skilled craftspeople. The exhibition will feature a selection of excellent pieces from the Yokoyama Museum of Art's collection, covering a wide range of designs, techniques, and types of vessels produced over more than 100 years.
