Yasuo Kazuki Exhibition

Yasuo Kazuki Museum
Finished

Artists

Yasuo Kazuki
This exhibition features oil paintings and drawings of fish and the sea by Yasuo Kazuki (1911-1974). In the 1950s, he painted so many foodstuffs that he was called a "kitchen painter." He painted a wide variety of fish in particular, showing the richness of the nearby fishing grounds.

From the fish and the sea painted by Kazuki, we can sense humor, compassion for life, and expression of the beauty of nature's interweaving. At the exhibition, visitors will see fish that Kazuki enjoyed eating and the sea that he found beautiful.

Concurrent Exhibition "Yasuo Kazuki's Siberian Series
The second installment of this project, which examines the process of completing Yasuo Kazuki's masterpiece "Siberian Series," will introduce "The Carrier."
