Artists

Yasuhiro Suzuki
Yasuhiro Suzuki (1979 - ), an artist who focuses on the unnoticed aspects of everyday life, reinterprets them from his unique perspective to create his works. His humorous creations reveal new expressions depending on their location and the viewer’s perspective and discoveries.

This exhibition features around 50 works, including his notable pieces "Blinking Leaves" and "Air People." These works are born from Suzuki's delicate viewpoint and innovative approach to "mitate" (seeing one thing and interpreting it as something else, thus giving it a new perspective). Each viewer’s discoveries and realizations will differ, making it a chain of discoveries. It would be delightful to see how a viewer's discovery inspires another viewer to see from a different perspective, creating a continuous loop of new insights.

To facilitate these "discoveries," the exhibition includes not only displays but also interactive elements and small workshop corners. These features allow visitors to engage with the works more intimately and may even inspire summer crafts or independent research projects.

The Bunkamura the Museum presents this exhibition in the culturally and naturally rich area of Futako-Tamagawa.
