In this exhibition, four countries and five groups of artists- Stephanie Temma Hier, Kazuhito Kawai, Heidi Lau, Rebecca Manson, and Yuki Tawada and Fuku Fukumoto- explore the realm of expression using ceramics, expanding its boundaries and possibilities.

Through the diverse and intricate yet rich and warm expressions of ceramics, the title of this exhibition, "When I Kiss You, I Can Taste Your Soul," transcends the framework of ceramics as a single art form and conveys a message about its relationship with art as a whole.

The artists focus on the relationship between "act" and "inaction" in ceramics, touching the clay to shape it (= When I Kiss You), and recognizing the essence of art by passing through the stage of "firing" to complete the ceramic work (= I Can Taste Your Soul).

Just as a kiss is not merely physical contact but a way to understand the other person's soul, encountering the ceramic works of the artists in this exhibition may lead to understanding the essence of art, the soul of art.
