Book release and a solo show of Valeria Herklotz’s “Chaos.” German photographer Valeria Herklotz plays with preconceived notions of portraiture, nudity, and femininity, challenging the norms of the female gaze and focusing heavily on casting as a key component of achieving her vision. Valeria’s unique style is informed by her background as a talented model scout.
In ‘Chaos,’ Valeria Herklotz photographs groups of people in seemingly chaotic and euphoric scenes with a gentle and empowering sense of irony. The images are displayed in a series of 5 leporellos.
To coincide with the release of "Chaos," a solo exhibition, the first in Japan, is being produced by Tenko, a friend from Valeria Herklotz's Berlin days. The exhibition will showcase over 20 photographs featured in “Chaos."
