Tomona Matsukawa "Dear"

Kotaro Nukaga Tennoz
Finished

Artists

Tomona Matsukawa
Tomona Matsukawa's works are characterized by a continuous creative process inspired by interviews with women from her generation, with phrases and moments from these conversations serving as the basis for Matsukawa's works. These pieces blend realism with abstraction, transforming individual stories into collective narratives of women. The "Dear" exhibition departs from Matsukawa's previous work, focusing on women in their mid-30s who are striving to live without external value judgments, centered on themselves. These artworks convey intimate messages from contemporary women to their past and future selves.
