To the Age of Exploration: The World Marco Polo Pioneered

Sendai City Museum
Finished
Marco Polo, who is said to have crossed the Silk Road with his Venetian merchant father, brought stories of the East to Europe. These stories took the form of a single book, "The Travels of Marco Polo," which served as a guide for many adventurers who crossed the vast oceans and paved the way for the Age of Exploration.

This exhibition will unravel the significant wave of historical movement towards the Age of Exploration and the expansion of the world through the materials held by the Tenri University Sankokan Museum and Tenri Central Library.
