Takeo Takei
Takeo Takei popularized the term "douga" (pictures for children) from the Taisho to the Showa period to let children come into contact with real art. 2024 is the 130th anniversary of his birth. In addition to his works of douga, the exhibition will feature "Kanpon-Sakuhin" (various books Takei made originally and intentionally as artwork) and those originals, print works, and others to introduce the wide spectrum of his creations. Also on exhibit will be work related to douga by Yoshio Akioka, an artist affiliated with the museum.
