The Snowflakes (Yoshitomo Nara, Kineta Kunimatsu, Hiroyasu Kosukegawa, Misae Okuyama)
This exhibition highlights creative pursuits inspired by the unique characteristics of the Iburi region in Hokkaido. It prominently showcases installations by The Snowflakes, a collective formed in 2020. Their artistic approach mirrors the principles of junk art, employing ready-made items and discarded materials to fashion their works. The process involves uncovering natural elements such as driftwood and stones, alongside repurposing discarded materials like plastics.
