Bunsai Ioki
Bunsai Ioki (1863-1906) was born into a family of Mito Domain Samurai, studied Western painting, and moved to Nikko. The exhibition, marking the 160th anniversary of Ioki's birth, features the museum's collected works and materials since its inception. It also highlights creations by Ioki's disciple Hoan Kosugi and contemporaneous artists involved in souvenir paintings, offering insights into the artistic bond between mentor and pupil cultivated in Nikko.
