Artists

Tatsuya Tanaka
Tatsuya Tanaka is a miniature photographer and conceptual artist who has been publishing his art series "Miniature Calendar" on Instagram daily since 2011. Tanaka creates art by reimagining everyday objects as something else, such as using round glasses as a bicycle or soft-serve ice cream as a wedding dress. His works often include playful titles that incorporate wordplay and wit.

This exhibition, themed around Tanaka's concept of "Mitate" (visual pun or reimagining), will feature approximately 160 miniature works, including many pieces making their debut in Japan. The exhibition is divided into seven zones: "Home," "Form," "Color," "Scale," "Motion," "Life," and "World." Additionally, the exhibition will display large-scale works inspired by popular picture book characters and photo spots, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the world of Mitate. All artworks in the exhibition are available for photography.
