Tatsuya Horimoto
This exhibition celebrates the release of "Meet the Kemono: Eye Contact," a collection of Tatsuya Horimoto's early to latest work.

The term "kemono" as used by Horimoto in katakana refers to anthropomorphic expressions that include human feelings, sensations, language, appearance, and gestures in non-human animals, or mimetic animal expressions that include animal-like feelings, sensations, language, appearance, and gestures in humans. Horimoto, who has had an interest in and admiration for beasts since he was a child, creates works focusing on the "human psychology toward beasts," including himself.

In this exhibition, Horimoto presents a series of beasts, including his representative work, "Beasts that Exist," that ask questions of the viewer.
