Tale of the Heike Emaki - A Story that Moves Beyond the Scroll and Anime Infinity Era

This exhibition will showcase all 36 volumes of the 'Tale of the Heike Emaki,' painted in the early Edo period, divided into Parts I and II. Part I will showcase well-known scenes that everyone is familiar with. Additionally, the exhibition will collaborate with the highly acclaimed TV anime 'Tale of the Heike,' which aired in Reiwa 4 (2022), to present the story from various perspectives.

Part I: The Glory of the Heike - From Saturday, June 29, 2024 to Sunday, August 4
Part II: The Rise of the Genji - From Saturday, August 10 to Monday, September 16 (public holiday), 2024
