This exhibition features approximately 35 works, focusing on the first piece purchased by Takashi Takahashi and the conceptual works that have recently captivated him.

The T2 Collection is a contemporary art collection that Takahashi, co-founder of BrainPad Inc. and an active figure in the big data and AI fields, has been gathering for about six years. This exhibition showcases around 35 works, including the first piece Takahashi purchased as a collector—a work by Bernard Frize—as well as conceptual works by artists like Tatsuo Miyajima, Kohei Nawa, and Reijiro Wada, which have drawn his attention in recent years.

Through this exhibition hopefully, visitors will perceive the messages conveyed by the works from their perspectives, connecting them with their thoughts and values, and experiencing how individual points can link with various other points.

WHAT Museum, a collector's museum for contemporary art, opened in Tennozu, Tokyo in December 2020. It is an art and culture facility where valuable artwork entrusted to Terada Warehouse by artists and collectors are exhibited. As a warehousing company, we searched for the best way for an art facility to be, and arrived at the unique concept of "opening up the warehouse to the public and allowing them to take a peek at art that is not usually seen.” The thoughts and feelings of the artists as well as those of the collectors are displayed together with the important works, creating a place for people to encounter art. Under the name of WHAT (Warehouse of Art Terrada), which suggests the cultural value that shines quietly in a warehouse, the exhibits include two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork, architectural models, photographs, videos, literature, and installations. These diverse art forms are planned and exhibited from a new perspective, in a form of art museum that only a warehouse company can offer.
