Spring Summer Life - Painting and Craft

Yoshizawa Memorial Museum of Art, Sano
Finished
It is the season of blooming flowers, dazzling fresh greenery, and fragrant breezes. Creatures awaken from their winter slumber, birds return from the distant skies, and people go about their daily lives of cherry blossom viewing, rice planting, and cool evenings. People go about their daily lives, viewing cherry blossoms, planting rice, and enjoying the cool of the evening. The beauty, interest, and joy of "life" and "living" with the changing seasons are important sources for the creation of paintings and craft works.

This exhibition introduces paintings, ceramics, carvings, and other craft works from the Edo period to the present that depict plants, animals, and life in spring and summer.
