Founded by Yoshimitsu Ashikaga in 1382, Shokoku-ji in Kyoto is a key Zen temple of the Rinzai sect, which includes renowned temples like Kinkaku-ji and Ginkaku-ji. Known as a historic center for artistic creation, Shokoku-ji has inspired masterpieces throughout the ages. This exhibition marks the 40th anniversary of the Shokoku-ji Jotenkaku Museum, featuring over 45 masterpieces from the Shokoku-ji school, including national treasures and important cultural properties.
