Roadside Station Hota Elementary School "Machi no Gallery" will hold an exhibition during Golden Week featuring works by artists who have developed unique creative activities across genres such as fine arts, music, performing arts, crafts, and fashion domestically and internationally.

The term "shishi" in the title refers to beasts that inhabit the mountains, such as deer and wild boars, while "kyon" is the name of invasive species proliferating in the wild mountains and hills of the Boso Peninsula, posing a growing problem. For this exhibition, the artists have challenged themselves to create works using the horns, skulls, and hides of wild animals. Starting from Nagomi Town, the exhibition is planned to be held in various locations in the future.

In the rural areas of the Awa region located at the southern tip of the Boso Peninsula, damage caused by wild animals is extensive. However, the reality is that many of the wild animals captured for extermination purposes are discarded.

The proceeds from the sale of the artworks will be distributed to the individuals who provided the materials, namely the locals constantly facing the problem of damage caused by wild animals.
