Artists

Shigeru Mizuki
Shigeru Mizuki, known for his iconic work "GeGeGe no Kitaro" and numerous other yokai creations, spent two years creating a series of 55 works titled "Yokai-do Fifty-three Stations." This series is inspired by Hiroshige Utagawa's "Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido." The journey from Edo (Nihonbashi) to Kyoto (Sanjo Ohashi) is vividly depicted with over 300 yokai, including familiar characters from the Kitaro family such as Kitaro, Medama Oyaji, and Nezumi Otoko.

In addition to Mizuki's works, reproductions of Hiroshige's "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido" will also be on display. Enjoy comparing these two sets of works and the playful world of "Yokai-do Fifty-three Stations" created by Mizuki.

Additionally, yokai paintings and other works will be displayed, allowing visitors to enjoy the vibrant world of yokai alongside the fantastical realm of GeGeGe's yokai.
