Savoring Japanese Art Through All Five Senses

Mitsui Memorial Museum
Finished
"The 8th installment of the 'Art and Heart of Play' series, planned to coincide with the summer vacation, aims to familiarize visitors with Japanese and Eastern classical art as received in Japan. This exhibition invites visitors to appreciate paintings and crafts by engaging all five senses.

Imagine the scent of flowers or the sounds of animals depicted in the works, empathize with the emotions of the characters portrayed, or feel the coolness of a beautiful waterside scene. Sharpen the senses—sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell—and listen to the voices of the artwork.
