This exhibition will display "Sight / Insight," created during the 13th term of Counter Point. Santa Naruse has been engaged in a project within Counter Point transforming awareness of light. By exploring new ways of perceiving light through human motion perception and exploratory actions, he has focused on the combined static light of streetlights and the dynamic light of cars and bicycles in the night scenes of Kyoto.
This exhibition will feature works that abstractly represent collections of light, which are identifiable in shape or movement when observed in Kyoto at night, using small robots and LED lights. These expressions, the seeds of the project, will be presented as an interim exhibition.
