Sadamasa Motonaga
Sadamasa Motonaga is a member of Gutai, and it is still fresh in our minds that in 2022, the 100th anniversary of his birth, Gutai held a commemorative exhibition at the Mie Prefectural Art Museum, commemorative exhibitions in various locations, and large-scale exhibitions at the Nakanoshima Art Museum, Osaka, and the National Museum of Art, Osaka.
Motonaga created a wide variety of works using various mediums, but he also created "photography" works. This exhibition features works from 1993.
Thirty years ago, the art world had only just begun to treat photography as a "work of art" in earnest, while it was still considered as a medium for "documentation.
