- Echoes of Japanese Post-War Art: Evolution and Resilience -
The evolution of Japanese post-war art coincided with the nation's reconstruction efforts following the aftermath of the war. Artists affiliated with movements such as the "Gutai" group, originating from the Kansai region, and subsequently the "Mono-ha" movement, have left enduring imprints reminiscent of boundless vitality amidst the societal upheaval of the era. This forthcoming exhibition seeks to present select works by distinguished "Gutai" figures such as Sadamasa Motonaga, Atsuko Tanaka, and Kazuo Shiraga, alongside contributions from "Mono-ha" proponents including Lee Ufan, Nobuo Sekine, and Kishio Suga.

Highlighting the era's artistic milieu is Tomio Miki, whose independent stance outside formal art movements marked a significant presence. Despite his untimely passing at the age of 40, Miki's dedication to his thematic series on "ears" remains a testament to his lifelong artistic commitment.
