This year's series of pilgrimages to ancient temples has been developed around the theme of "Four Seasons." The Winter Collection, the last in the series, is perhaps the quintessential example of the series. The "Muroji Temple in Snow," which Domon Ken succeeded in photographing during his last years of life after staying in the temple for many years despite his illness, is a prime example of the tenacity of this photographer. The beauty and severity of the ancient temple pilgrimage will be explored from the perspective of “winter."
