Permanent Exhibition - Asian City Fukuoka

Fukuoka City Museum
Fukuoka is located at the western end of the arc-shaped Japanese archipelago, near the continent and the Korean peninsula.

Since ancient times, the people of this region have been exposed for the first time to cultures unknown to anyone living in the Japanese archipelago, developed means of production and economic activities never before experienced, overcame threats never before encountered, and continued to build prosperous cities.

The Fukuoka City Museum's permanent exhibition features 11 sections that introduce the unique history of people, goods, and cultural exchanges with other Asian countries and the lives of the people nurtured by this history.
