In 2023, as part of the National Portrait Gallery's reopening celebration in London, the highly acclaimed "Paul McCartney Photography Exhibition 1963-64 - Eyes of the Storm" attracted numerous celebrities and enjoyed great success. This year, the exhibition is set to be held in Japan.

The Beatles, who debuted in 1962 and quickly became the world's top musicians, are the focus of this exhibition. It showcases a collection of approximately 250 photographs documenting the period from December 1963, when the Beatles became a social phenomenon, to February 1964, when they triumphantly returned to the US for the Ed Sullivan Show. These images include rare photographs, some of which were taken by McCartney himself or were printed from negatives and contact sheets that had not been printed for 60 years.

Reflecting on the exhibited photographs, McCartney commented, "Looking at each photo brings back memories. Where they were, what we were doing. Seeing photos taken with the photographer, it's like memories of when we first came to New York and were taken to Central Park. When we see them, they're taking pictures. 'One more shot on the West Coast,' they'd say. I remember it all."

The opening of the world tour exhibition held at the National Portrait Gallery was attended by Paul McCartney himself, along with close musicians and family members of Beatles members. Media coverage praised "Eyes of the Storm" for capturing moments of immense importance in pop culture, documenting Paul's photographs taken at the time when the Beatles' fame reached its zenith. The exhibition was also praised for offering a unique glimpse into the vulnerable lives of newly created international superstars, despite the potential blurriness of McCartney's photos.

Now, this highly acclaimed exhibition is finally opening in Japan. Similar to London, Paul McCartney will provide voice navigation, offering insights and reflections on the era.
