Through 73 paintings by Antoine Watteau, François Boucher, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, Baron François Gérard, Ary Scheffer, and others carefully selected from the Louvre's vast collection, the exhibition will reveal how the concept of love has been expressed in Western society.

This is an unprecedented exhibition that traces the expression of "love" over a period of about 350 years, from the 16th century to the mid-19th century.
