Artists

Pablo Picasso
Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), the greatest master of 20th-century art, was an artist who continued to dialogue with ancient and modern art and challenged himself to create new forms through repeated trial and error.

Picasso worked in a variety of fields, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, and stage sets. He also demonstrated his rich creativity in printmaking. Picasso began working in printmaking soon after leaving Paris, and throughout his life he experimented with a variety of printmaking techniques such as etching, lithography, and linocut, producing a vast number of works.

This exhibition features 130 prints from the collection of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, one of the largest museums in the world, from his early "Blue Period" to his later years. The exhibition traces Picasso's fertile path of experimentation and creativity, featuring representative series such as "Sultan Bank," "Volar," "Franco's Dreams and Lies," and the "347 Series," as well as oil paintings, drawings, and photographs.
