Artists

Osamu Tsukasa
Osamu Tsukasa (born in 1936) spent his childhood during the war and, driven by the vivid memories of the tumultuous period and its aftermath, continued to express his feelings regarding various social issues through his work. His artistic expression spans a wide range of genres, including illustration and picture books, book design, novels, and art critique. In this exhibition we showcase works from his early period to his latest works, highlighting original illustrations for Machinto (A Little More; text by Miyoko Matsutani, Kaiseisha), a story about a girl who fell victim to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
