Artists

Osamu Ochi
Osamu Ochi (1936-2015), a key figure in the avant-garde art movement Kyushu-ha from the late 1950s to the early 1960s, delved into utilizing commonplace items and asphalt as mediums for artistic expression. Inspired by the hippie culture of San Francisco in the late 1960s, Ochi ventured to the United States. Upon returning to Japan, created a series of spherical paintings within a universe-like space. This exhibition will feature rarely introduced dropping works by the artist.
