Osaka Art & Design 2023 is an area event designed as a tour of the city of Osaka to encounter art and design.
Centered on the Umeda area where the Hankyu Umeda Main Store is located, 33 galleries and stores in 20 locations from the Nakanoshima, Tenmabashi, Kyomachibori, Honmachi, and Shinsaibashi areas will participate in the event, creating a unique Osaka "resonance of sensitivity." The grand theme of the event is "Kansei Hyakkei" (100 senses).
The grand theme, "Kansei Hyakkei," refers to the diversity of creativity within artists and designers, and the beauty of their works and exhibitions that emanates from their human nature, as scenery. Creators from all over Japan and the world will gather in the Kansai region, including Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe, with an identity unique to Kansai.
Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai. Once a year, businesses in the Umeda/Osaka area will collaborate to continuously hold events to promote Osaka's creative culture to the nation and the world through art and design, aiming to make Osaka a world-class creative city.
