Kobe Fashion Museum
Finished

Artists

Nizo Yamamoto
At the age of just 24, Nizo Yamamoto was selected as the art director for "Future Boy Conan." Since then, Yamamoto has become renowned as an art director on iconic Japanese animated films such as "Laputa: Castle in the Sky," "Grave of the Fireflies," and "Princess Mononoke." This exhibition showcases approximately 250 of Yamamoto's works, including hand-drawn backgrounds, image boards, and art settings, alongside the manga Yamamoto was drawing shortly before death. Kobe, which also serves as the setting for "Grave of the Fireflies," is the starting location for the "Nizo Yamamoto Exhibition."
