We are pleased to announce the exhibition “なりえるなりえぬ” at AVA. This exhibition is an attempt by four artists to unfold, within a single space, the subtle presences they have each engaged with—presences too premature to be named.
It explores what emerges between the movements of the hand trying to give shape, and the thoughts that have yet to be named. Things that waver as they move toward something, yet remain in flux. Acts of drawing, assembling, touching space. Each work is born from the quiet accumulation of gestures that gently intervene with materials, standing here without being confined by clear frameworks.
Within this space where the four artists’ gazes intersect, we hope that each visitor will carry away a lingering resonance beyond words—a faint, tactile memory— and experience a gentle drifting between “nari eru” (that which can come to be) and “nari enu” (that which cannot).
