Shinsuke Yoshitake is an illustrator and sculptor whose debut picture book "It Might Be An Apple" caught the attention of people of all ages. The large-scale exhibition offers a glimpse into the artist's inner world by displaying more than 400 items that include a variety of sketches, original picture book drawings, as well as three-dimensional objects.

Located in Utsubuki Park, the building is an award-winning example of architecture created in the style of white-walled storehouses. The museum consists of a fine arts section, mainly featuring works by Kanji Maeda (Western-style painting), Tatehiko Suga (Japanese-style painting), and a living national treasure from Kurayoshi City, Hiromichi Osaka (woodcraft). It also has a humanities section, including an archaeology section, containing properties of national significance such as ritual implements from the Kofun period, known as decorative Sue ware, as well as a nature section. The museum also houses a History and Folklore Museum which displays agricultural equipment as well as folk materials from the Meiji to Taisho periods.
