Masafumi Sanai
Masafumi Sanai has worked as a photographer since the 1990s and has published numerous photo collections through various media. Starting in 2008, he has produced 16 photo collections under the self-publishing photo book label "Taisho."
Since hosting the event "Kaitaisho" in 2012, attempting to dismantle the photo collections of "Taisho," Vacant/Centre has continued to follow Sanae's activities and engage in dialogue together.
In this new attempt, "Tentaishow," selected photo works from the photo collections published under "Taisho" will be exhibited and sold. As part of the exhibition's "first section," approximately 30 photos will be displayed from the outtakes of "Shashin no Taimou," "Doku Kujou," and "Shima Shima." The small-sized handmade prints exhibited will be sold with framing as a limited edition "Taisho" print exclusive to the exhibition.
