Mariko Matsushita
Maruki Gallery for the Hiroshima Panels presents "Human Animal," a solo exhibition by Mariko Matsushita. Matsushita is an artist exploring themes of living pain, sexuality, and humanity through paintings and more, gaining attention in Japan and internationally.

The exhibition features a body of work merging human and animal identities, delving into new ideological realms. It includes new paintings, a large installation of old sheets, drawings, and travel notebooks.

Matsushita had stayed in Palestine until just before the airstrikes on Gaza began, and after the massacre started, Matsushita was one of the most deeply responsive figures in Japan to this situation. Matsushita offers a transformative experience with "Colors Beyond the Cage."
