Makoto Aida + Yutaka Sone "-・-・ ・- -・ ・-・・ ・-- -・・- ・・-- -・・ ・・ --- ・---- ・・ --- ----- ---・・~Memories of the Invasion"

Mizuma Art Gallery - Ichigaya
Finished

Artists

Makoto Aida, Yutaka Sone
Makoto Aida and Yutaka Sone, both born in 1965, are featured in this two-person exhibition. Despite knowing each other personally for years, this is their first collaboration.
In this exhibition, Sone will present "Snowballs," which is a ceramic image of snowballs actually made of snow from Yushan, as well as new paintings depicting scenes of Yushan. Makoto Aida has chosen to exhibit "A Picture of an Air Raid on New York City (War Picture Returns)," one of the artist's most famous works.
It is the artists' sincere belief that before advocating nonviolence and anti-war, we must examine the history of our own persecution, which will provide a valuable opportunity for us to acknowledge once more the memory of collective aggression.
