We are pleased to announce “Making Books in Our Daily Lives - The works of 3rinsha and Bookstore Seikatsu Tsudurikata” at Gallery OGU MAG.

“3rinsha” is a publishing company that collects words from daily life and makes them into books under the banner of ‘Slow but Good Books’, and “Bookstore Seikatsu Tsudurikata”, which is run by Mr. Nakaoka, the representative of 3rinsha, produces books (zines) by printing with a risograph in their store and binding each book by hand. While both are located in Myorenji, Yokohama, they have been attracting attention for their activities to creatively revitalize local communities by holding sales trips and talk events throughout Japan.

This event will introduce the books published by 3rinsha and Bookstore Seikatsu Tsudurikata, and on weekends during the event, a short documentary film “A Day in the Life of Tara Books Printing Studio in South India” (Director: Shin Yamane), which 3rinsha visited and filmed while producing the Japanese edition of “Tsunami,” will be screened with a talk event. The film will be screened with a talk event.

We hope that this event will provide an opportunity to think about making books in our daily lives.
