Literature is Delicious

Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Literature
Finished
Literary works and writers' anecdotes often feature memorable scenes involving food. For instance, Ryunosuke Akutagawa was enamored with Koshu grapes, Fuyuji Tanaka wrote a poem about Mount Fuji reflected in a soup bowl, and Masuji Ibuse painted a picture of a yamame trout gifted by Ryuta Iida from Koshu. Delving into writers' food preferences reveals their likes and dislikes, and the foods they hold dear in their memories. This exhibition presents these delicious scenes from literature, accompanied by handwritten materials.
