For 11 years since 2013, Lexus has held the " Lexus Design Award," an international design competition that invites design ideas for the creation of an affluent society and a better future. The theme of the competition is "Design for a Better Tomorrow," and the competition seeks to create a variety of ideas that contribute to a sustainable society together with the creators who will lead the next generation.
The Lexus Design Award 2023 award-winning works exhibited at the Milan Design Week will be exhibited for the first time in Japan. In addition, materials used in the creation process and story panels that look back on the creation process will be exhibited along with the award-winning works to show the evolution of the works through the three-month mentoring program.
The exhibition will allow visitors to encounter the inspiration that comes from the process of creating artworks and to experience Lexus' designs for a prosperous society and a better future, along with the social issues from each creator's perspective and the various design ideas they created to solve them. The exhibition will also feature a variety of design ideas that have been created to solve these issues.
