With exquisite depictions of armored warriors and anthropomorphic animals surrounded by contemporary landscapes, Kumiko Koyama creates a world where past and present, fantasy and reality intertwine. The artist's favorite motifs, such as dogs and events related to the history of Japan, are used to create works that transcend time axis.
