Ai Koko Gallery has moved to a new space. As the first exhibition after the relocation, we are pleased to announce Kato Koji's second solo exhibition.

In recent years, Kato has focused on the historical background of specific places and objects, connecting the past with the present, big stories with small stories, social issues with personal stories from his unique perspective, and creating new "narrative" video works through a life-size filter. The exhibition will feature a "Retrospective" of the works.

This exhibition is an independent retrospective exhibition in which the artist will reexamine various themes that he has researched through his works, such as "U.S. military bases," "Indonesia and Dejima," "Fathers," "Cenotaphs in Hiroshima," and "Montanus's Japan Magazine," and redefine the relationship between these themes. The exhibition will be held as a special benefit for visitors.

As a special NFT for visitors, we will distribute free of charge the original design data of the review "Real Imaginary Travelogue" written by sociologist Yoshitaka Mohri, which was first shown at Ai Koko Gallery in February last year.
