The Koishikawa Botanical Garden Festival is a cyclical project to think about "plants" and the town and to find new values in the connection between plants, the garden, the town, and its people.

With the cooperation of the Koishikawa Botanical Garden, which has a history of over 300 years and plays a major role as a place for botanical research and education, as well as a place of relaxation for residents, we aim to create a cycle of various experiences through the cooperation of local stores, businesses, local government, schools, and residents.

This year's guest curator is Tatsushi Fujihara, Associate Professor at the Institute for Research in Humanities, Kyoto University under the theme “why do people give plants names?"
