WISH LESS gallery is pleased to present ‘HEAVY METAL MANIAC’, a solo exhibition by painter Ken Hamaguchi.
Ken Hamaguchi is known for his skillful use of painting techniques to realistically depict maniacal film actors and musicians, controversial figures in recent history together with adorable animals that contradict them.
When the fierce battles between ‘impossible combinations of things’ that unfold in Hamaguchi’s brain are put on canvas as paintings, we, the viewers, get a strong visual hook, as if we are being sucked into an unknown realm.
In addition to the 60 small works from the ‘HEAVY METAL MANIAC’ series, the exhibition will also feature a group of new paintings on view for the first time. We hope you will take this opportunity to enjoy his unique world view.
