Artists

Keita Miyazaki, Ibuki Minami
Since the modern era, zeitgeist has been expressed by the ratio of machinery to organicity. In today’s networked society, consideration based on the balance between digital and analog, city and nature has become more important in the context of art as well, and has developed in a way that reflects the times as much as the changes in the world. In this exhibition, the intention is to capture the current zeitgeist in a fragmentary yet as an accurate manner as possible. Keita Miyazaki combines mechanical and rigid car engine parts with handmade soft paper and felt parts, representing the opposites of “order and illusion” and sublimating industrial materials into organic works. Using a unique algorithm that serves as a blueprint for his works under the theme of “the core of art,” Ibuki Minami extracts the important fundamental elements that consist art from various fields and weaves his own philosophy as a contemporary painting. Sculpture and painting. Two artists active in their respective media will colorfully represent the current world through a balance of machinery and organicity.
