Artists

Kazuya Fujiwara
Kazuya Fujiwara, based in Nakasatsunai Village, Hokkaido, explores the soul of wood by excavating the inner depths of trees to create works where light emerges. Recently, Fujiwara has been captivated by the question, "What was the light like when trees, the self, and countless other forms of life were striving to be born?" This exhibition features the artist's latest creations, including large wooden sculptures made in direct connection with life, as well as pieces crafted from driftwood.
