Artists

Katsuro Yoshida
Mono-ha is a movement formed between 1968 and 1972 by artists whose works utilized materials such as stone, wood, paper, cotton, iron sheets, and paraffin in their raw state, either as single objects or combined. Katsuro Yoshida (1943-1999) is known as the central figure of this movement.
Few original Mono-ha works remain, as they were exhibited as installations and later removed and discarded. It remains to be seen whether it is really possible to recreate works after the artist's death, and the methods and techniques used remain debatable. However, through research into Yoshida's production notes, it has become possible to clarify the thinking process and recreate/reproduce works from that period.
