The first exhibition of Jap=Zyappu magazine and for Goro Arizona.
Jap=Zyappu is a fashion magazine that originated in Japan to share unique ideas and originality with the world. It began as Jap in January 1994 and later transformed into Zyappu with a complete shift to romanized text, ending its run after five years. Goro Arizona shot numerous fashion pages for the magazine. Goro Arizona is the pseudonym of the editor-in-chief, Kaoru Izima, who continuously projected a unique worldview distinct from the mainstream fashion photography of the time.
Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Jap's inception, this exhibition will allow visitors to peruse all the issues of Jap=Zyappu. Additionally, you can view and purchase enlarged prints of fashion pages and outtakes from Jap=Zyappu, original and alternative prints of published photos, Polaroids, Kaoru Izima's photo books, and back issues of Jap=Zyappu.
