Artists

Kanna Takase
Kanna Takase expresses her personal history through images of animals, using them as motifs to explore interpersonal relationships and psychological changes that may occur in daily life.

The term "whistle," used in the title, evokes the contrast between a successfully played note and the sound of a failed attempt, which Takase associates with a clumsy way of living. This exhibition delves into the causes of "inevitable anxiety" that everyone may have experienced, through Takase's paintings.

Additionally, some of the paintings are reinterpreted as ceramic works. These ceramics, with their sculptural nuances of kneading clay and forming shapes, expand on the imagery of the paintings.

This exhibition offers an opportunity to capture the form of "inevitable anxiety" as envisioned by Takase and to explore the causes of anxiety lurking in everyday life.
