Fujita Museum was established from the early Meiji to Taisho periods to exhibit a collection of mainly oriental antiques collected by Denzaburo Fujita, a former baron of Osaka, his son Heitaro, and his second son Tokujiro. The collection consists of 5,000 items in a wide variety of fields, including paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, sculpture, lacquerware, metalwork, textiles, and archaeological materials, spanning the ages from ancient times to the Meiji period.
